Today NEMA unveiled the modular homes that will provide temporary housing on Abaco for evacuees returning to the island. The 314 sq ft homes have been used in similar climates and can accommodate up to 5 people. They include bathroom facilities and electricity. The Family Relief Center will comprise 250 structures, which are made of a fiberglass composite and can withstand winds over 180mph. Construction is expected to begin within two weeks.
